On the 17th of November, the Stanwix Community Association met in the hut again. Now that members had come to terms with the nature of the problems faced by the Association, discussion flowed far more freely and constructively. This was also aided by the recent good news from the council that there would be some assistance with the rent hike. below are the minutes of the recent meeting. |

Well, it's a cold wintry Friday night, so that must mean the Thursday Night
Club will be out and about; firtling about in the Yorkshire dales!
Last Friday's project was to reconnoitre the connection between Link Pot and the
Stake Pot Inlets for a planned through trip from the top end of the Easegill System. |

Good News - The Council has Come up Trumps!
I received an email from Stanwix councillor Liz Mallinson, who with the help of Annette Grogan, has managed to secure a two year breathing space for the community association. It isn't a complete solution as far as I am aware, as we still have a funding shortfall to manage. The problem should be a much simpler beast to manage though. |
