On Saturday 10th of September, Paul Nedved, one of Stanwix' city councillors has organised a gathering in the Community Centre on Church Street.
The meeting aims to gather everyone interested in improving the look of Stanwix over the next year.
This will build on the work already done in gaining Green Flag status for Rickerby Park and the huge improvements that have happened in St. Michael's churchyard, the "Chinese Gardens" and in Stanwix School's own new environmental garden at the end of the tennis club's grounds. |

Well you Live and Learn as they say. I've finally regained control of the Stanwix Info domain after my original registrars, took my money but failed to renew the domain for me.
In the 4 years that I've been playing around online with websites and advertising, I've been pretty surprised by the lack of scammy things I've come into contact with. Up until April, that is! I have to admit that I was a bit late responding to the notice to pay my domain renewal fee to a registrar that I had signed up to (right at the start of my online adventures). They were called Giblink and had ambitions to take over that space now occupied by Linked In. So... as awareness slowly dawned, that the domain was about to expire in a week or so's time, I sent off my cash as I have done for the past 3 years. |
